Financial Advisors in Indiana (and beyond) Dedicated to Your Life After Work™

Zach Unger, CFA®

Portfolio Manager

Zach Unger serves as Portfolio Manager at Financial Enhancement Group, where he manages the firm’s portfolio of alternative investments and supports broader corporate development and strategy initiatives. His work combines asset management, investment education, and strategic thinking to help steward the resources entrusted to FEG.

Zach helps clients and teammates understand the nuances of FEG’s investment strategy and decision-making process. Beyond the technical work of asset management, he spends time educating others so they can better understand how investment decisions are made and how those decisions fit into the bigger financial picture.

What Zach enjoys most about his work is the people. He values the teammates he gets to work with, and the families FEG serves. He also enjoys the strategic side of investing and corporate development. Both areas are more nuanced than he originally expected, which creates space to build thoughtful plans, adapt to complexity, and execute with intention.

Zach’s path into the industry began after graduation. He had always been fascinated by investing but had not fully considered it as a career. A mentor connected him with Aaron Rheaume, FEG’s Managing Director, and FEG gave him the opportunity to learn the industry. Since then, his work has grown into a role that allows him to combine curiosity, strategy, and stewardship.

Zach earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a CFA Institute member and a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Purdue FCA. Outside of work, Zach and his wife, Emma, have a son and an Australian Shepherd named Millie. He is an avid football and baseball fan, enjoys spending time outdoors, and spends a lot of time with friends from their church community.
