Sam Neff serves as President and Director of Financial Planning at Financial Enhancement Group. In addition to serving FEG families directly, Sam leads the firm’s advisors in professional growth, planning execution, and family service. His work helps ensure the families FEG serves receive a consistent, thoughtful, and comprehensive planning experience.
Sam’s focus is on FEG’s Family Focus® Process and the quality control that supports it. While every family has unique goals, challenges, and opportunities, Sam helps make sure the team consistently addresses the many areas that shape a family’s financial journey. He enjoys working alongside both the families FEG serves and the teammates who care for them, and he describes that as one of the reasons he is excited to come to work each day.
Before entering financial services, Sam worked in operations and leadership for a large retail organization. After changing careers and becoming a financial planner, he initially worked with a large broker dealer before earning the CFP® certification and moving into the registered investment advisor space, where he could focus more deeply on financial planning and independence.
Sam’s calling into financial planning was shaped in part by his own family’s experience. After seeing the weight that student loans and major financial decisions can place on a young family, he felt called to help others navigate their financial journey with more clarity and confidence. Over time, that calling grew from helping young families establish roots to helping people complete their financial journey and prepare for life after work.
Sam earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association. Outside of work, Sam and his wife, Brittany, live in Carmel, Indiana, with their son, Georgie, and their dog, Benji. They enjoy summers at Lake Webster, walking on the Monon Trail, golf, racquet sports, and being active in their community.
