Andrew Thrasher is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Financial Enhancement Group and a Chartered Market Technician®. As a member of FEG’s allocation team, Andrew helps oversee the firm’s core investment models and the Tactical Edge model. His work centers on disciplined research, portfolio strategy, and thoughtful asset management designed to help the families FEG serves navigate changing market environments with greater confidence.
Andrew brings a highly analytical and research-driven approach to his role. He enjoys studying the constant movement of the markets, identifying meaningful trends, and using in-depth research to help strengthen FEG’s investment strategies. His work supports both the internal team and the broader planning process by helping turn complex market information into clear, useful investment guidance.
Before joining FEG, Andrew worked at another registered investment advisory firm, building experience in investment management and client focused financial planning. His interest in the industry began early, sparked by economics, the stock market, and the important role personal finance plays in helping people make confident decisions with their money.
Andrew is a two-time recipient of the Charles H. Dow Award from the CMT Association. He received the award in 2017 for his paper, “Forecasting a Volatility Tsunami,” and again in 2023 for “The 5% Canary,” which also received the Founders Award from the National Association of Active Investment Managers. His analysis has been referenced by The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Barron’s, Bloomberg, Fox Business, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC, U.S. News, TD Ameritrade Network, and Opto.
Andrew earned his bachelor's degree in financial counseling and planning from Purdue University and holds the Chartered Market Technician® designation. Outside of work, he enjoys competing in CrossFit, reading, cooking, spending time with friends, and being with his daughter.
