Andrew is a Chartered Market Technician® and serves as the senior portfolio manager at Financial Enhancement Group (FEG). As a member of the allocation team, Andrew assists in overseeing the core investment models and is the sole portfolio manager of the Tactical Edge model. Andrew also records a weekly video, FEG’s Market Carver, with Adam Harter and Zach Unger. Specializing in technical analysis which focuses on the market's price activity, Andrew uses tools to evaluate the supply and demand of broad indices, sectors, and individual stocks.
Andrew is a two-time recipient of the Charles H. Dow Award given by the CMT Association. He won in 2017 for his paper titled “Forecasting a Volatility Tsunami” and won again in 2023 for his paper “The 5% Canary” (which also won the Founders Award from the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM)). Andrew’s analysis has been referenced in The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Barron's, Bloomberg, Fox Business, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC, U.S. News, TD Ameritrade Network, and Opto. In addition to being a CMT®, Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in financial counseling and planning from Purdue University.
Andrew enjoys training and competing in CrossFit, spending time with his daughter, and attending his church. He also loves to travel, seeing as much of the world as possible. Some of their favorite trips have been to several European countries, parts of Central America, and many Caribbean islands.
