Leadership Academy

Raising Up Servant Leaders. Strengthening Communities.

In this episode, Joseph Clark, CFP®, sits down with Pam Shoot and Carrie Bale to discuss how the Leadership Academy of Madison County is equipping the next generation of leaders, starting right here in Central Indiana.

Founded in 1981 through a collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce, the city of Anderson, and Anderson University, the Academy develops leaders who serve with purpose and lead with integrity. Through tailored programs for high school students and adults in the workforce, the Academy helps individuals grow in character, confidence, and community impact.

At FEG, we believe in nurturing leadership that lasts. That’s why several members of our team have walked through this program and why we invite you to consider it too.

Originally launched in 2002 as the Tobacco Coalition, Intersect now serves every school corporation in the county, leading efforts to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse. Their work includes impactful programs like SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and Strengthening Families, both of which are changing lives at the root.

At FEG, we know that wise giving starts with protecting what matters most: your children, your values, your future. Supporting organizations like Intersect helps build a community where strong families can thrive for generations.

Founded more than 25 years ago by a group of college-aged women and supported by North Anderson Church of God, Dove Harbor provides more than shelter. It offers safety, support, and Christ-centered services for women referred by DCS, probation officers, other shelters, or by self-application.

With stays ranging from 6 to 12 months, Dove Harbor helps families rebuild their lives with stability, dignity, and a renewed sense of purpose.

At FEG, we believe giving isn’t just about generosity, it’s about impact. Supporting Dove Harbor means investing in a better future for women, children, and the community we call home.

APL offers love, shelter, and nourishment to vulnerable pets, then helps match them with families ready to provide a forever home. Their work reflects a deep commitment to kindness, responsibility, and healing—both for animals and the people who welcome them in.

At FEG, we understand that generosity shows up in many forms. Supporting APL means helping more animals find safety—and more families experience the joy of adoption.
